Will you be offering a traditional beta for the next chapter of Guild Wars?

As you may be aware, monthly worldwide events replaced a traditional beta test for the first chapter of Guild Wars. For upcoming chapters, we will continue to hold a small alpha test, and the decision on beta testing will be made later this year.

What is the future of the Guild Wars Alpha Test?

Our core group of alpha testers were invaluable to the development process during the three years of the alpha test for Guild Wars' initial release. A selected number of our active testers will be invited to continue working with the team and providing feedback on the next chapter of Guild Wars.

How can I find out more about testing Guild Wars? May I join the alpha test? Can I sign up for any possible future beta tests?

Our alpha test continues, with a core group of testers assisting with tests of the rolling updates that we offer for Chapter 1, as well as well as assisting with the early development of the second chapter of the game. Participants become involved by invitation only. We are not accepting applications for testing nor do we have a waiting list. However, if we make the decision to expand testing opportunities, we will post them on our official site – www.guildwars.com – and we invite you to apply through whatever means are offered at that time.
